Christie Thoene is the vice president of policy and legal communications at Qualcomm; she has been with the company for over 15 years. Ms. Thoene oversees the external communications strategy for Qualcomm, one of the world’s leading wireless at technology companies. That strategy covers a wide range of complex and high-stakes policy, regulatory, and legal matters in the United States and abroad. Ms. Thoene's background as a litigator brings a unique perspective and skill set to the communications field. She works closely with Qualcomm’s senior management and executive team, as well as with government affairs, legal, academic advocacy, investor relations, analyst relations, and corporate public relations teams, to position Qualcomm and its cutting-edge technologies with key stakeholders. Her mission is to protect and promote Qualcomm’s reputation, interests, and innovations in the wireless industry and beyond. Ms. Thoene earned a J.D. from the University of San Diego and a bachelor’s in Central and East European Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder.
